The seal of EASA accreditation that Rocky Mount Electric Motor has received.

In February of 2018, Rocky Mount Electric Motor became EASA Accredited. EASA Accreditation means that the firm has successfully demonstrated that it follows the prescribed good practices to consistently deliver quality electromechanical repairs that maintain or improve AC electric motor efficiency and reliability. The criteria for becoming EASA Accredited are based on ANSI/EASA AR100: Recommended Practice for the Repair of Rotating Electrical Apparatus and The Good Practice Guide of The Effect of Repair/Rewinding on Motor Efficiency.

EASA is The Electro-Mechanical Authority; an international trade organization consisting of more than 1,800 electromechanical sales and service firms in 70 countries.

Capabilities

Testing capabilities up to 4,830 volts AC and 530 volts DC, core loss testing up to 1,250 HP, and Surge and Hi-pot testing to 12,000 volts. These capabilities allow us to provide service for large motors not found in most electric motor shops. In addition, our dynamic balancing, in-house machine shop, field service capabilities, and supply of new motors allow us to provide single source capabilities for our customers.

Community Involvement

RMEM is an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce. Further, we helped to create the  “Industrial Committee.” This committee brings local industry together to discuss common issues and provide information. In addition, the company also participates in internship and apprentice programs with local colleges and high schools.

This year we have had the privilege to support: PEACEMAKERS, YOUR CHOICE RESOURCE CENTER, CHRISTIAN ADOPTION SERVICES, to name a few. Various others were served through our employee involvement program. In the program, employees receive time off with pay to volunteer their time to worthwhile organizations.

This includes: Rocky Mount, Wilson, Tarboro, Greenville, Goldsboro, New Bern, Jacksonville, Kinston, Clinton, Fayetteville, Sanford, Smithfield, Plymouth, Murfreesboro, Roanoke Rapids, Clayton, Apex, Raleigh, and all points in between.
